A T-90 tank’s barrel ruptured when a field firing exercise was being conducted in the Babina area of the state of Madhya Pradesh, resulting in the deaths of two Indian Army soldiers and the injury of a third.
An Indian official claims that the event took place on a tank on October 6 and that the crew of three received rapid medical attention before being sent to a military hospital in Babina.

The official continued by saying that the tank driver is not in danger and is receiving care, but the commander and gunner died as a result of their serious burn injuries. The Indian Army has in this regard commissioned an investigation into the tragedy and sent its condolences to the families of the fallen troops.

In a related event, an Indian pilot was killed and another was hurt when their military helicopter crashed in the eastern part of the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The event took place in the state’s Tawang area, which is close to the China border.
